Some recent work

I took some photos of the work I have been doing recently. I am kind of lazy when it comes to keeping record of my production. I enjoy the process of doing the pots, this is what really keeps me attached to the idea of being a potter, but other parts of it, like taking photos, marketing my stuff, selling... that is not where I find most of the fun. Anyway I do those things with pleasure.

When I do a pot I try it to express certain concepts that has an important value to me. I want my work to be humble, organic, with movement (I guess you could say "alive", but using this word doesn't seem too humble to me), and after all, I want my pots to have the look of holding a certain history, a certain story they tell.

To achieve these goals, I try not to force too much the materials I use, giving room to the random in the process of making a piece, whether is throwing, hand building, or glazing and decorating.

And I tend to do pieces that people can use in their regular live. That is way I don't go too wild. I try to find a right spot in between a soulless piece and a unuseful one.
